Happy New Year Everyone!!!

2025 was pretty good for me overall, honestly. Although now that I’m taking the time to sit down and write about it, it does seem to be a blur. At the start of the year I had to make a lot of adjustments to my lifestyle since I had to work and attend school full time. But after a couple of months I managed to figure out a routine that works for me and settled in.

The biggest change was not working on a schedule anymore. Now that I don’t have any obligation to drive to work every day, I’ve noticed that I am in fact a very lazy person. I’ve basically min-maxed the amount of time I need to work in order to pay my bills and feed myself, and then spend the rest of the time lazing around and “doing nothing”.

That wouldn’t be too much of a problem if that attitude didn’t creep into other aspects of my life, mainly schoolwork. I’ve ended up skipping a lot of classes this year simply because I couldn’t be bothered to make the drive to attend a single class and then drive back. Though I can also blame that on my horrible scheduling restrictions.

But otherwise, I’ve been kinda vibin through the year. I’ve noticed I don’t really feel much stress anymore, aside from the occasional school deadline crunch. I’ve been playing more games, watching more movies, trying new recipes, even reading some books.

So my own New Year’s Resolutions are pretty short:

That last point is the first thing I’m working on. I’ve had this idea for a long time, but never felt I had the time to put together my own blog. I’ve been getting into coding though, partly from school and partly from my own personal projects, and I finally felt comfortable enough to try and work it out. There’s a lot of ideas I’ve though about adding, but for now I’ll take it slow and try not to burn myself out immediately. At the moment the first thing I added was the Cat Wall, which can be seen in the “Cats” tab. I see a lot of cats when I’m out and about and thought maybe keeping a cat journal would be kinda cool.

My next ideas are a “Review” section where I keep some reviews about games, movies, shows, books, whatever. I want to have something around so that if I’m like, “Have I seen that before?” I can just look there and see if I have. Besides that the other idea is something like an “Art Wall”, similar to the cat wall but just pieces of art or pretty landscapes I see walking around. I don’t have the nicest camera in the world, but I think my phone is more convienent anyways.

Lastly I want to work on the UI a lot. Currently this format is the default “Zonelets” template (you can find the link at the bottom), which is nice and simple, but I’m thinking about adding a custom background and switching up the fonts. Some things I’m thinking about added but not sure about are things like view count and comments section. I would have to look into how those work, but I’m not even sure I want them. I doubt anyone will really visit this site except myself, but it would be cool if one or two people eventually saw it.

Well, I think that’s everything for now. I want to try and make this a weekly thing, I think trying to post something daily would burn me out real fast. So Happy New Year to everyone! Hope things go well!
